We hope to be able to answer some of the more frequently asked questions here, but feel free to contact us if your query is not answered below.
Do you serve hot drinks and food?
Yes of course! Not only from our own Market cafe (serving tea, coffee, cakes) but also from our traders such as Marion’s Deli (delicious home cooked German-style food and cakes). If you become a Friend of the Market you will receive a variety of benefits, including five drinks vouchers for use within our Market cafe through the year.
Do you have seating?
Yes we do. Our Market Cafe has a number of small tables and chairs for customers to enjoy and be reinvigorated for more browsing and shopping!
If the weather is wet, are you under cover?
We are delighted to have invested (after much fund raising) in larger marquees where the majority of our traders have their stalls so you can browse comfortably under cover all year round. We do still have traders who are not placed within the larger marquees so there will be a few where you will be sheltered but not necessarily under cover.
Where can I park my car?
There are a number of car parks within the town, within very easy walk of the Market. The nearest to our traders is in St Andrew’s Road, up past Barclays Bank.
I am a food producer, can I sell at your Market?
We always welcome enquiries from traders. Please take a look at our Sell With Us page for details and application form – we’d love to hear from you!
How about crafts, I am a designer/maker, can I sell at your Market?
Yes! Rules surrounding Farmers’ Markets allow us to have up to 20% of our traders as craft makers. Please take a look at our Sell With Us page for details and application form – we would be delighted to hear from you!
