Market wins Devon Life Award 2010 – November 2010
At the Devon Life Food and Drink Awards 2010, held at Sandy Park, Exeter, on Thursday, 11th November, Cullompton Farmers’ Market (one of three finalists) was voted by its customers as the Best Farmers’ Market of the year, for the second year running. Two of the market’s traders also won awards: Bread of Devon, as the Best Baker/Confectioner, and Sandford Orchards, as runners up for the Best Drinks Producer of the Year. Thank you to all our customers, traders, and team who manage the market. Cullompton Farmers’ Market is going from strength to strength.
Award-winning Producers – November 2010
The Cheese Café@Penny’s Pantry, a regular stallholder at Cullompton Farmers’ Market, has recently been awarded a Highly Recommended award in the competition for the Best New Cheese Retailer for 2010 at the recent British Cheese Awards which took place in Cardiff.
Other regular stallholders Roger and Dodie Huxter (Welland Down Beef) have recently received one gold and five silver awards for their produce at the first BPEX Regional Roadshow and Product Evaluation event for the South West.
