Market’s 14th Birthday – June 2012

14th Birthday Cake Cutting14th Birthday CakeCullompton Farmers’ Market celebrated its 14th birthday on Saturday 10th June.  The cake, made by Brenda Barnett of Tiverton & District Country Markets, was decorated with a symbol depicting every stall.  It was cut by Councillor John Berry, who has been an enthusiastic and loyal supporter of the market for many years.  A steady stream of customers braved the weather and enjoyed not only the range of produce available but a piece of the cake to accompany their refreshments provided by Cullompton Scout Troup.  Cullompton Farmers’ Market was voted the best Farmers’ Market in the Devon Food and Drink Awards in 2009 and 2010, and was runner up in 2011.  We look forward to welcoming old and new customers and stallholders each month on the 2nd Saturday, at the Station Road car park.
